10 Times Kim Jong Kook was Mr. Capable in Running man

Kim Jong Kook or known as Mr. Capable to most Running Man Fans has earned that name many times. These are my top ten favorite Mr. Capable moments.
10. The Commander is Released. (ep 195)
Probably one of my personal favorite episodes (despite the ending.) This is the infamous MC Yoo episode. You get to see him in his element and he's great. Great guests 2ne1! 2pm!, and some older group that I can't remember the name of at the moment. (but all the guests are funny and I always love when 2pm is on Running Man) Anyway! So we all know Kim Jong Kook is amazing, this was no exception. He was one of the only males on the 2ne1 team and when his team was losing in the final mission, he came out and esstientially won it for his entire team. I don't think Park Bom, CL, or Dara even had to go out and compete. Great ending for the Commander.
9. The Fighters (ep. 131)
Choo Sung Hoon! Oh this battle was epic! Despite Kim Jong Kook losing, the fight was great. The reason it's my number 9 is because it resulted in a loss. (I could totally write a blog about my favorite 10 Kim Jong Kook name tag battle losses as well.)
8. Survival Time (ep 93)
The survival episode where the members try to oust Kim Jong Kook in the first round. It's obvious when the PD's ask the members to go into a cute and vote for the member they want out first. I'm pretty sure everyone votes for Mr. Capable especially Lee Kwang Soo which is a hilarious moment. Despite being attacked by everyone that sees him. KJK does his best to scare them and eventually it comes down to him and the Monday Couple. They almost teat the name tag off but the Monday Couple were only seconds off the hour limit. Kim Jong Kook just solidifies his name by keeping them at bay.
7. The Mud Monster Emerges (ep 209)
So this was just a mission but if you've seen this episode you would know that Kim Jong Kook was hilariously awesome while dunking Yoo Jae Suk, Ji Suk Jin, and Lee Kwang Soo in the mud and holding them there. The stamina this guy has is epic. Plus its a great Idol episode. H.O.T, G.O.D, SHINee, EXO, Sister, among others.
6. The Reversal (ep 1)
In the very first episode of Running Man when Kim Jong Kook's team was losing to Hyori's team he staged a massive comeback pretty much by himself and solidifies why they call him the Commander.
5. Getting Ji Suk Jin a Win (ep 240)
Okay do this one is really because Kim Jong Kook is because he held off so many people in order for Ji Suk Jin to win. Yes that was the point of this episode, to make sure Ji Suk Jin won. Which the rest of the Running Man members and guests accomplished that... Then Ji Suk Jin did what he did best lol. Bonus: Kim Woo Bin beats Kim Jong Kook at the punching machine. (epic!)
4. Innate Ability to Find Things (pretty much every episode, but pictures are from 2 and 4)
This is a hard one to tell which particular episode this happens in, because Kim Jong Kook is always amazing at figuring things out or finding the mission items. Back before he was always on the chasing team he would dominate the mission team. He has like crazy intuition.
3. Sparta! (ep 3)
There have been many times that Kim Jong Kook has been called Sparta along the years, but this episode was the first time the word came into the Running Man world. There is no way to deny that King Jong Kook is beyond strong.
2. Commander's First Win (ep 93)
This episode is deserves the two mentions it got on this list. Why? Because it was Kim Jong Kook's first solo win. Sure he has a major amount of team wins and partner wins under his belt but this was the first official solo win. Way to be Mr. Capable!
1. The 20 Minute Struggle! (ep 4)
This is probably the most known moment of Kim Jong Kook as it has been played many times over the years. 20 minutes of epicness that will go down in Running Man history. Kim Jong Kook fights off 6 people to save his name tag, for a whopping 20 minutes until his strength gave out.

Yoo Jae Suk Goes on an Anger Spree After a Mud Wrestling Match with Kim Jong Kook on “Running Man” Episode 209

On August 17, the members of SBS’ “Running Man” went against a team of new idols as well as a team of old idols in the “Triangle of Mysteries” special.

The second game of this episode was mud wrestling. In the ring were Yoo Jae Suk and Kim Jong Kook. As soon as the start whistle blew, Kim Jong Kook brought everyone to laughter by effortlessly lifting up Yoo Jae Suk. Soon afterwards, he started to dunk Yoo Jae Suk’s head into the mud. Despite Yoo Jae Suk yelling, “Let me down!” Kim Jong Kook didn’t stop and kept on playing around with him. Without surprise the game ended with Kim Jong Kook’s victory. To this Yoo Jae Suk, who was now covered in mud, yelled, “I’m so furious!”

The producer told Yoo Jae Suk, “You can wash yourself with the running water from the hose.” To this, Yoo Jae Suk replied, “Who is going to wash the mud off of my heart [pride]? I’m absolutely furious!”

Later on Yoo Jae Suk went to the hose to wash himself off but the water did not come out. To this, he again started to yell, “The water isn’t even coming out. The water isn’t even coming out! I’m furious!” Yoo Jae Suk’s series of anger spurts brought hysterical laughter to the entire set as well as the viewers.

Guest stars of this episode included SHINEE’s Taemin, SISTAR’s Soyu, andEXO’s Kai and Sehun, who formed the new idol team with Haha, as well asg.o.d’s Danny Ahn, NRG’s Chun Myung Hoon, Sech Kies’ (also known as6kies) Eun Ji Won, and H.O.T’s Moon Hee Jun, who formed the old idol team with Kim Jong Kook.
And Next victims're Kang gary, Ji suk Jin. Kwang soo. But he was defeated by Ji hyo as she bit him on his chest.

5 Unforgetable moments on Running man

Ever wonder what happens when the relentless Kim Jong Kook, the humorous Haha, the tactical Song Ji Hyo, and scheming Jee Seok Jin get together in a live show? We are sure that there will be turmoil and lots of hilarious moments that will surely bring laughter.
As the Race Start Season 2 in Malaysia this November with the four of them, vote or share your funniest scene that you wish to see at the live concert. Here are golden moments in the series that we think are unforgettable.
1) HAHA TAKES WEATHER REPORTING TO THE NEXT LEVEL

Episode 20
Game: Extreme Weather Forecasting
Guest: Kim Hee Chul
In this scene, Haha was getting annoyed, angry and crazy at the same time in enduring the heavy wind, snow & water blown to his face while he tries to finish his weather forecasting on screen within five minutes. In the same time, he was trying to win against two competitive opponents, Song Ji Hyo and Gary.

2) SCARY LEVEL: OVER 9000!
Running Man Kwangsoo scary face
Episode 69
Game: Grasshopper/ Jae Suk Hunting (Nametag tearing race)
Guest: Choi Min Soo
In this scene, Haha and Kwang Soo exaggerated their expressions when they see Choi Min Soo in the drama game they were in. Choi Min Soo, the Running Man Hunter came back to take revenge on Yoo Jae Suk who betrayed him once in episode 53.

3) THE SPLIT OF THE CENTURY
Running Man football superpower match
Episode 96
Game: Running Man Football Superpower Match! (Running Man cast against Park Ji Sung and Kwang
Soo)
Guests: Park Ji Sung
In this scene, Gary tried blocking Captain Park’s quick dribbling skills but the attempt failed causing Gary’s legs to split apart and tear his pants. During the next rematch, he had doubts to play again against Captain Park.

4) NO PANTS NO GAIN
Running Man Kwangsoo funny
Episode 126
Game: Battle of the Stars
Guest: Choi Ji Woo
This is one of Kwang Soo’s funniest gag in Running Man. He ran with his pants down during a race with Choi Ji Woo. His pants were torn in his fight with Jong Kook from the earlier race causing him to be in this funny scene.

5) DUNK HIM LIKE AN OREO
Episode 209
Game: Solve the Triangle Mystery
Guests: Chun Myung Hoon, Danny Ahn, Eun Ji Won, Moon Hee Joon, (Old Idol) Kai, Se Hun, So You, Tae Min (New Idol)
There are many humiliating scenes in this episode but nothing beats Sparta Kook versus Yoomes Bond’s mud wrestling. Due to Sparta Kook’s tremendous strength, Yoomes Bond is certain to lose but Sparta Kook decides to torment him further. Sparta Kook forces him to bathe in mud; swinging him around and humiliating him in front of the camera while he verbally taunts Sparta Kook.

Monday Couple: The Best Couple Moments

Once upon a time there were two crazy kids, an epic variety show, and a million ships sailing towards the horizon. And by horizon I mean social media. And by ships I mean fanfic. And GIFs. And crazy photo shopped wedding pics. And songs. And…well, you get the picture. If not, here it is:

             Wedding
One of the longest running and most beloved pairings in Korean Variety programming, Monday Couple has been delighting viewers of Running Man for three and a half years with their push / pull dynamic. For those who are new to MC, the pairing is made up of Song Ji Hyo (actress) andKang Gary (rapper, LeeSsang) and appear on the variety hit Running Man. They have garnered a hug fanbase with their cute interactions and humorous spats. The name Monday Couple refers to Running Man’s filming schedule- the show traditionally would film on Monday’s leaving Gary and Ji Hyo to say they were only a couple on this day.
                                 On Mondays
In real life Ji Hyo has a boyfriend (the CEO of C-JES nonetheless) however reality plays little importance in the world of Monday Couple. Though I wish it would…in a these-two-actually-go-out sort of way. You know those crazy shippers I mentioned? Yeah….I am kind of one of them.
As much as I have written about Running Man I have yet to list my favorite Monday Couple moments. Probably because there are so many that get me squeeeing and smiling that it is hard to decide what I really love the most. But I have made an attempt. Henceforth are the Top 10 Monday Couple moments as decided by Lore in Stone Cities (in no particular order). Cheers!
                  Ep 12
Connection in the Rain – Episode 12
Gary and Ji Hyo were on opposite teams in this early Running Man episode. All of which explains why they should be eliminating each other. But alas, Ji Hyo gave Gary sad kitten eyes and grabbed his leg in a plea to be let go. Gary could not help but give in to Ji Hyo’s gestures and let her run free. Maybe it is the rain, maybe it is because this is episode 12 and so early on, but I find this moment completely sigh inducing.
                                 Ep 15
Subway Songs – Episode 15
A game that was played early on in Running Man involved a heart rate monitor. The task usually consisted of getting the target’s heart rate to exceed a set number. When the men of Running Man were given the challenge to make their Ace’s heart beat fast it was no easy task. Gary, however, proved that with a little rap and a little bit of Monday Couple magic the job could be done (but he didn’t win this challenge, which is kind of funny).
                       Ep 18
                  Ep 18 2
Rings & Titanic – Episode 18
Episode 18 threw the cast of Running Man onto a boat, a seafaring craft that I would like to think of as the Love Boat. In one of the early games featured on this episode there was a challenge to woo Ji Hyo and Lizzy. The man that was “selected” by each woman would win. When it came time for Gary to show his moves he busted out a ring and gave it to Ji Hyo. She promptly threw it away but still picked her Monday boyfriend in the end. To make Monday Couple fans even happier (if that is even possible) the pair reenacted the famous “I’m flying” scene from Titanic. Sighhhhhhhh.
                           Aquarium
Gary’s Wife – Episode 29
Not the most obvert of Monday Couple episodes, this entry gave us some adorable moments nonetheless. This episode found the cast filling out their profiles. Gary gave his goal as becoming Ji Hyo’s boyfriend, later he doctored Ji Hyo’s profile to read that her goal was to become his wife. Gary also quietly said “Even her writing is cute”. I love this episode for how understated and honest Ji Hyo and Gary’s interactions seem. Cute, just cute.Ep 34
A Date – Episode 34
A date! A two straw milkshake date! During episode 34 Ji Hyo hinted to Kim Jong Kook that she wanted some alone time with Gary. The Commander teased the pair but relented. Thank you tiger! The result was the Monday Couple, wearing letter jackets, staring into each other’s eyes as they giggled. Monday Couple nirvana!
                  Ep 127
When We Started Over – Episode 127
My favorite Monday Couple moments list has a huge episode count gap. Why? Well, once Song Ji Hyo’s real life relationship was revealed around episode 83 the MC went on hiatus. Thankfully the couple made a comeback; I have to say as far as Monday Couple moments go some of the best have been post their initial “breakup”.
Take episode 127 for example. This was just a fun episode all around- with the Busan flower boys and great cast chemistry. And in regards to the matter at hand, the Monday Couple signaled their comeback with a couple wave. In the episode’s opening Gary was tasked with choosing between joining Ji Hyo’s team or Ji Woo’s team; he promptly (and was the only one) that went straight to Ji Hyo. Being the first episode of 2013 Gary announced that this was the time they would start over. 2013- The Year of Monday Couple.
ring
Shopping for a Ring – Episode 133
Running man jetted off to Macau for episode 133. Gary and Ji Hyo were on one team (along with Dong Wook) and during one part of the episode they found themselves in a jewelry store. Ji Hyo and Gary looked at rings and Miss Mong managed to select a pretty expensive sparkler. But never fear, Gary told the store to hold the ring- Ji Hyo even managed to tell them to put it under Kang Gary’s name. Haha. If only it was real…
                   Ep 137
The Almost Kiss – Episode 137
I remember seeing the preview for this episode and freaking out. Like counting down the minutes until it aired freaking out. Yes, I know I need a hobby. Thanks Mom.
Episode 137 was as close to Monday Couple hopeful reality as I feel like this show has given viewers thus far. The couple played the peporo game, were teased by big nosed hyung about not having already dated each other, and then subjected to admitting each other’s attractiveness. Plus there was a Gone with the Wind like pose. I love you episode 137!
                    Ep 150
Monday Couple Live – Episode 150
In December 2012 Song Ji Hyo made a guest appearance at a LeeSsang Concert where she sang the song “Turned off the TV” with Gil and Gary. This real life appearance was daebak enough but I really fist pumped the musical Monday Couple in episode 150. Ji Hyo surprised Gary with a LeeSsang song as she waited undercover as a rock musician. Gary joined in and the two gave a performance that made Monday Couple fans everywhere want to rock.
                   Ep 153
Remember the Good Old Days? – Episode 153
I know, I know. This was last episode. But I still loved this moment enough to say that it has been one of the best of all time, even though I know I am still in the new Running Man episode smell kind of phase. In this episode Gary finds Ji Hyo and when faced with having to rip her nametag is unable to do it- mostly because she is giving him big sad eyes and “Oppa this” words. Which leads the two to reminisce about their interactions in episode 12 when a similar event occurred. Alas, Gary is unable to tear Ji Hyo’s name tag and suffers for his inability by being ousted himself. As he is led away Ji Hyo tries to make up with him. I just loved this pair looking back at their memories! Daebak!

Kim Jong Kook displays his ‘ddakji’ skills on ‘Running Man’ in Episode 113 vs 131

RM113-00456
Who knew that Running Man makjang would be so entertaining? Old wounds are cut open again and new fresh scars are sure to stay. It’s a Chuseok special onRunning Man and this year, get ready to flip the Ultimate Ddakji. Will yours be good enough?
EPISODE 113. Broadcast on September 30, 2012.
It’s a rainy day and Kwang-soo is the first to arrive at the hotel. He tries his best to wrap his head around the set up for Madame Maknae FD’s family reunion, taking his seat as ‘the third son.’
The others trickle in as Mr. PD directs them to take their seats (Gary: “Second son? I’m not the maknae?”) and Jong-kook speaks in banmal as the first son, only to apologize when he learns Jae-suk is his older cousin. Boy, this is gonna get confusing innit?

This means that Gary, Jong-kook, and Kwang-soo are brothers (Jong-kook: “Where’s Mom!”) and they light up at the fact they all have wives in this make believe reunion – which means female guests. And Jae-suk brings them back to Earth: “Ji-hyo’s one of them.”
Fingers start pointing to Gary who balks, “When was it that we ended things!” which is just when Ji-hyo arrives.
And when Mr. PD does confirm that they’re a couple, they both yell in protest: “We’re divorced!” I can’t hear you, la la la la!

And just like every happy family reunion, things start to escalate as Jong-kook points out that Jae-suk is voicing his frustration that he doesn’t have female guest on his team. Soon they’re bickering about how this dysfunctional family is straight out of a makjang drama and Kwang-soo shouts, “That’s why we all have different last names!”
Jong-kook looks to Ji-hyo: “I’m your ahjubuhni [older brother-in-law]!” Ji-hyo’s like, So? Jae-suk: “You’re just an ajumuhni!” Oh the puns!
I love how this entire family reunion keeps going on without Madame Maknae FD and their bickering comes to a temporary standstill at the mention of their first guest aka Jong-kook’s wife. She comes waltzing in and their jaws drop to the floor.

Say hello to Yeom Jung-ah (My Love, Madame ButterflyRoyal Family). Are we going to see her caught with ramyunagain? In any case, her commanding presence overshadows Jong-kook, who meekly stands next to her. She tells him that he’s not scary but I don’t think he believes her. Keh.
It’s time to meet our second guest (and Kwang-soo’s ‘wife’), actress Jeon Mi-seon(Five Fingers). I think rendered speechless isn’t enough to fully describe their reaction to one another.
Kwang-soo, who had originally anticipated a younger guest, comments that he doesn’t understand how they met. The others tease him about how Kwang-soo pleaded to marry her despite their age gap.
Now there’s one family member left to be introduced: actor Yoo Hae-jin (Jeon WoochiTazza). Woah – this man is a force to be reckoned with, even without his famous ex. And to everyone’s surprise, the boys flock to greet him in reverence.
Mr. PD informs them that the family is gathered regarding Madame Maknae FD’s will. The cast immediately jump to grieve and Jae-suk says, “How could we not have known as her children?” Mr. PD clarifies that it’s been prepared in case of her death. Ah, okay then.
Her lawyer reads out her will and testament which tells her ‘sons’ about how she built this corporation making ddakjis (folded paper squares) and about how she crafted the ‘ultimate ddakji‘.
The mission: The son (and their family) who can flip over this ddakji will be declared the winner. The cast’s reaction at the rest of the legal jargon? “. . .” AHAHAHA.
Jung-ah’s competitive spirit shines through and despite the rain, she says, “Aren’t we supposed to run because it’s Running Man?” She assures them that her other guests aren’t competitive at all.
Cut to: Hae-jin and crew who are enjoying the rain. Hae-jin even gets in a pun, pointing to the ginkgo beans, “There are a lot of banks that have fallen!” (ginkgo = eunhaeng = bank)
Kwang-soo’s family overshoots their mission location and if battling the rain wasn’t enough, his umbrella turns inside out and Mi-seon covers him under hers. Jong-kook and Jung-ah share one too but I love how she yells out, “You want to hold hands?” first before doing so.
Their first mission location brings them to a vintage market where they’ll have to buy some items (in a cardboard box, no less) to move on. As to what items, they have to turn while holding their nose 10 times and kick a hackysack.
Though the dizzying part will be a problem, they’ve definitely got a bigger one on their hands because Jung-ah has a tough time kicking the hackysack as is. It’s both adorable and hilarious.
And then when she actually spins around 10 times, she just collapses on the ground, too dizzy to kick anything.
It’s a snug fit inside their cardboard box but there’s a time limit so they better run. Not only does Kwang-soo’s family have a large age gap but there’s a considerable height difference as well. So Kwang-soo sweetly cuts a hole in their box so that she can see. Aw.
Gary’s family is still trying to kick a hackysack and when Ji-hyo kicks it into Gary’s arms, he sadly cries if she’s going to be like this. ‘Cause they’re divorced. *cries*
Their kicks keep falling short of the board and the captions tell us that they’ve been at this for 30 minutes now. Seeing as that this is going to keep them here all day, Mr. PD tweaks the rules for the ladies, bringing the spin count from 10 to 7.
Kwang-soo’s family inadvertently stumbles upon the book Gary’s family needs to find. Then a nearby ajumma notes that Kwang-soo really does look like a Kwang-soo. When Suk-jin is like, “He doesn’t look like a Dong-gun or a ~bin right?” She nods.
So Kwang-soo’s family attempts to buy the book to stall the other team and Jae-suk uses tickling as retaliation. Gary’s family ends up buying the book off of them and then chug along back to make it within time.

Myuk PD shows them an array of paperlike materials they’ll need to flip the ultimate ddakji – everything from cardboard to paper towels. They choose cardboard and fashion an impressive ddakji out of it.
Jong-kook’s family choose newspaper but they stumble over the instructions at which Jung-ah eyes, “You must not have made any when you were young.” Out of all three – right now, the cardboard sounds the most promising.
Their next mission location is another market but here they’ll be having a wrestling match. Hey, haven’t we done this before? Thinking of Spartakooks, Haha rallies: “We’ve won!”
The first match is between Haha and Kwang-soo and now I’m positive that we’ve seen this before. Kwang-soo gets flagged a warning for trying to get the crowd to cheer for him but it looks like he won’t need it because he pins Haroro to the ground in 5 seconds flat.

Oho, he might have taken down the Penguin but what about the Tiger? He crumples to the ground just trying to get a good grasp. As for the match, he utilizes his long legs to evade attack and then charges at Jong-kook… who whirls around and flips him to the ground.
Suk-jin goes down too and the rules are altered so that the loser of the match wins. Which means Jong-kook can’t overpower her so she just swings and tries to throw her strength around so that she’ll hit the mat.
Not if Spartakooks can help it. He keeps a firm hold to make sure she doesn’t fall which is oddly endearing and hilarious. He lifts her up (Can we trade places?) and sits on the mat himself, ensuring that his team moves on.

The Ace vs. Jung-ah? Now this is a match of the ages. Jung-ah comments that Ji-hyo’s really strong and that she won’t budge. Then Ji-hyo wraps her leg around Jung-ah’s for an easy win.
She feels kinda bad about it and apologizes to Jung-ah, who just flashes her a thumbs-up.
Haha: “I think I’m gonna lose [against Ji-hyo].” Then as soon as the whistle blows, Ji-hyo jumps up and lies flat on the ground. AHAHA. Rewind, replay!
Now it’s time for SpartAce to face off. The whistle blows and Ji-hyo lifts herself into the air, ready to fall on her bottom… only that Jong-kook just carries her with ease. He whirls her around like before and she thumps at his chest. When that doesn’t work, she grabs his hair but Jong-kook sits down and wins it for his team.
It’s Jae-suk’s turn against the Tiger and just in case we forgot, the staff rolls a replay of what happened last year. Are you… rubbing your body againstSpartakooks. I mean, I wouldn’t pass on that opportunity but how is that gonna help you win?
As expected, Jae-suk is no match against Jong-kook and eventually has to call for a time-out because of Jong-kook’s death grip. Which is a perfect opportunity for Jae-suk to wrap his leg around Jong-kook’s… but then falls and hits his hand against the mat.
The match continues as Jae-suk threatens to flips Jong-kook over (errr) but he ends up being the one flipped. PUAHAHA – I think this position is way more embarrassing than last year.
Everything now rests on Hae-jin’s shoulders, (“I’m scared!”) and the thing is that he can wrap his leg around Jong-kook but it’s no use. Oof and then a leg straight between the legs gets Jong-kook wincing in pain.
Hae-jin uses one last burst of strength to no avail and Jong-kook gently sets him down.
Each team choose another material for their second ddakji and move on to their next mission location.
Here at the restaurant their mission is to eat all the meat on the grill within 30 seconds. Catch is, they’re restricted by resistance bands. But nothing is gonna get in the middle of a man and his meat!
Gary as the most trouble so Jae-suk tries to feed him but ends up burning him. HA. They fail and Hae-jin muses, “If only I worked this hard at acting…” And then Jung-ah jokes that it’d be great if the meat was paired with a bottle of soju.
As for Jong-kook’s family, the Tiger has no problem grabbing at the meat as it pops into his mouth. It looks like Jung-ah’s extension is working against her as well. They fail too and Hae-jin complains that all of their missions involve strength aka an advantage to Jong-kook.

But at least they have the chance to eat some meat whereas Kwang-soo’s family is left to just stare at the meat and salivate. And if the sound wasn’t bad enough, the staff start wafting the smell towards them. Now that’s just plain mean.
Back at the other grill, Gary’s team fails again thanks to Jong-kook’s antics and Hae-jin enjoys the rest of the leftover meat. As they set up for the other team, Jae-suk notices the ex-Monday Couple and jokes, “Are you having a housewarming party?”
Now they’re using their brains as Jong-kook grabs multiple pieces at a time and feeding them to his teammates. They finish with less than two tenths of a second to spare.
Gary’s family finishes well under the time limit and high-five their victory. (Hae-jin eats.)

All the teams gather at another restaurant and Jong-kook’s family has the option of taking another’s team ddakji or handing over one of theirs. Annoyed, Jung-ah snaps, “Then we shouldn’t have placed first!”
They allow the other team to choose first and Jae-suk asks if that means that their decision gets locked in. Jung-ah: “Why can’t we [take it]?”
Poor Mi-seon and the Easy Brothers arrive last and she’s like, “I just wanna come in second!”

The teams are given a chance to test out their ddakjis and that newspaper one won’t. budge. whatsoever. It’s as if that thing can survive Armageddon.
Here, they have an opportunity to “upgrade” their ddakjis by flipping a coin in a frying pan. Jae-suk’s the first to slip, giving an apologetic look to Hae-jin. And then it’s Hae-jin who messes up the next time.
It’s sadly ironic that Coach Kookie trains his teammates only to mess up himself. Then when Jung-ah fails to flip her coin, she silently fumes as Haha playfully jokes that she has a competitive spirit… it’s just that she not very good at games.
Jae-suk calls out to Mi-seon the moment she flips her coin. She sends death glares, “Who was it?” LOL.
One by one, Gary’s family flips their coins and now it’s down to Ji-hyo… who succeeds. That’s why she’s the Ace. Gary: “Our wife’s the best!”
If you can’t beat Spartakooks in strength, you can try making fun of him instead. Hae-jin teases him as to why Jong-kook hasn’t succeeded yet. When Jong-kook drops the ball, Hae-jin keeps it up, much to Jung-ah’s annoyance.
Haha tells him to remember the wrestling match and Hae-jin retorts, “What? Me? I gave it my all!”
The teams choose their ‘upgrade’ items (tape, glue, a stapler) and Jae-suk complains that there’s not that much left on the roll. Mr. PD: “Of course we can’t give you a lot.” Jong-kook’s team patches up their monster of a newspaper ddakji. Caption: Is that a ddakji or a land mine?

Jong-kook’s team is the first to arrive at the final mission location. The doors open and an ominous Madame Maknae FD who lies down, waiting for them. Jong-kook calls out, “Mom!” Oh that’s right, I forgot. Heh.
Madame Maknae FD unveils the prize (a gold plaque that reads, “Don’t Walk, but Run!”) Will Jong-kook’s newspaper ddakji hold up against the ultimate ddakji?
Jong-kook revs up… and slams the monster onto the ground. The Ultimate Ddakji flips over. Daebak.
Game Over. Just like that.
Everyone, including Mr. PD and the rest of the staff, is in utter shock at this turn of events.
So… not so Ultimate after all.

The Next Episode, Kim Jong Kook Show his Ddakji skill’s Episode 131.

In this concluding part, each team gets to purchase their individual Ddakjis from a wide variety set using the money they’ve earned through the earlier games. Be the final victor and your team wins.
My favorite parts:
When Gary won that one time. Too bad their team were booted out first.

The Jaesuk-Jongkook showdown. It was nerve-wracking. My brother and I kept checking the remaining time for the episode, wanting to find out if the last turn would be Jaesuk’s or Jongkook’s. I so wanted Jaesuk to win because he has been de-throned many times from his King of Ddakji status, but alas, it was not meant to be. Jongkook flips Jaesuk’s Ddakji and his team wins the game.

This was another fun episode but unfortunately not as epic as last week’s. However, it was still a great episode to watch. Maybe it was because I had been looking forward too much to Shiyoung’s guesting stint because I knew she had this 4D personality but she fell a little bit below my expectations. Although, it was still fun to watch her give the RM members a run for their money when she continues to beat them during the games.
Sunghoon was a revelation to me. I didn’t know him before this episode so I didn’t know what to expect of him. But I’m pleasantly surprised and very pleased to know that apart from his fighter side, his goofy side can shine through in variety as well.
